The Economic Standard’s UK correspondent, Calum Nicholson, recently published an insightful commentary, “Of course, we should do everything to stop Coronavirus. But maybe…”, questioning the received wisdom on pandemic response and calling for a public discussion of the tradeoffs involved in this kind of pandemic response, now and in future emergencies. With some American states and European countries considering easing their lockdowns amid an economic meltdown, this controversial topic is more timely than ever. Nicholson was interviewed on these and other topics by Barbara Kolm, founding director of the Austrian Economics Center and one of the lead organizers of the Free Market Road Show, a talking tour visiting dozens of countries (this year taking place virtually).  See the full interview here!
